"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9)

1 Peter 2:9 describes nothing less than a confederation of twelve self-governing tribes. This is the holy nation. Each tribe is made up of self-governing clans, and all the men and women in these clans, in every place, are in total unity.
