"1984 - 40 Years Later" Commemorative Celebration

"Whatever Happened to the Church in Island Pond?" On Saturday, June 22, 2024, we held a commemorative celebration of our deliverance 40 years ago. We enjoyed speakers who were there, even some of the children who were taken, who described from their perspective what it was like.

At the same time, there was an open house for the soon-to-open Yellow Deli in town, and also a Photo Gallery explaining the beginnings of the Church in Island Pond, the Raid and our Deliverance, and how the Church spread out to form many other communities around the globe.

We have had many visitors drop in for a few hours or arrange for extended visits. More than just simply looking for helpers in exchange for accommodations, our guests are alongside us and learning with us the deeper things of life. Usually, we arrange visits of 1 or 2 days, but, if you are really enjoying the rhythm of our life, an extended stay can be discussed.
