Every spring, the tribe of Yoceph sends a delegation up to the waters of the Bristol Bay to catch salmon. We set up a temporary community and draw the blessing from the sea. Much of the salmon caught is sent to our communities and Yellow Delis around the world. If you're ever in Alaska in the summer, please stop by and see us. We have a small stand where we sell products from our other communities, along with a cup of hot maté for you.
We have had many visitors drop in for a few hours or arrange for extended visits. More than just simply looking for helpers in exchange for accommodations, our guests are alongside us and learning with us the deeper things of life. Usually, we arrange visits of 1 or 2 days, but, if you are really enjoying the rhythm of our life, an extended stay can be discussed. Contact the community directly you'd like to visit. We hope you will come spend some time with us!
The Twelve Tribes is a confederation of twelve worldwide self-governing tribes, made up of self-governing communities. We are disciples of the Son of God (whose name in Hebrew is Yahshua). We follow the pattern of the early church written in Acts 2:44 and 4:32, sharing all things in common. We believe everything that is written in the Old and New Covenants of the Bible.
